Ball Rider: This robot would "ride" a ball. If you've ever taken apart an old computer mouse to clean it, you've seen the 3 separate rollers that retrieve information on the rolling ball. This robot would ride a ball in a similar manner by manipulating the ball with three motors. It may or may not actually balance on the ball -- the ball might just be used for propulsion.
Combination Lock Opener: This robot would be handheld and would allow for the user to input their combination for a standard combination lock. The robot would then be held onto the lock where it would zero out the lock and precede to precisely unlock the combination. This wouldn't actually break into anyone's lock, it requires the user input to work.
Oreo Separator: This robot would pick up Oreo off of a table top, separate the sides from one another (keeping the cream on one side), drop off the Oreo, and then drive onward.
Obstacle Avoider: This robot would be a simple drive/chassis but would utilize several sensors like ultrasonic, light, or just plain old buttons to drive around and avoid obstacles.
Domino Layer: This robot would be fed dominoes through some sort of gravity-feed clip and then lay the dominoes while driving
Alongside these projects I will create several mini projects.
